Brought to you by C

C is for Cow
She is ours but is living next door.
So now to Rusty. The first time this morning she was a little silly. I did finally get the surcingle on her but I kept with her and got it on. I did not fasten it though. Then this afternoon I was able to catch her without much problem. I had left her in the round pen. I worked her on the rope for a while and then I put the saddle pad on her. Then the surcingle. She stood really well and I was able to fasten it. My only problem was that saddle pad moves around. It just slid around. I won't use it tomorrow or I will get a different one. I did get it to stay on and I worked her on the rope with it on. The only problem was I went to straighten it out and it got folded out so she could see it and she did not like that thing sticking out. We will have to work on that issue. I took it off and we will work again tomorrow. We walked into the barn and she got her apple. I am so proud of her.
I hope your Thursday is fine and dandy.

Thankful Tuesday - A & B

My sister suggested another picture challenge. Through February starting with a. The last two days would be ch and sh. Soooooooooooooooooo
A is for horse treat APPLES.
They are not edible for humans, I don't think but the horses really love them. Katie brought them out. It is what Rusty will do most anything for.
B IS FOR BLUE BARRELS
We use them for a lot of things especially in the training of the horses. Also carry water when we are camping where there is none.
I did not sleep much last night, felt really crappy. I got up at 3 and was still up when Bob got up at 5. I took some Tylenol and went back to bed. I did go back to sleep and woke up at 10. I felt so much better but kind of like I was drug thru a hole. I have not done much today. I did have to take Bob his glasses because he forgot them.
I did not work Rusty so much today. Just was not up to it but I did catch her, brush her mane and fore top out and gave her an apple. She does not let me walk up to her without trying to leave but its getting better. I must get back at it tomorrow. I used Cowboy Magic on her mane and it is beautiful. It is so soft and lovely. CM is pretty spendy but it only took about 1/4 of a tube to do the trick. I will work on Amelia's next. She has a pretty long mane but not like Rusty.
Thankful Tuesday - I am thankful for Andrea's family good news today. They had told them that Amy's cancer has spread to the bone. Its not the cancer, the battery of tests they did show it to be arthritis. Thank you Lord. I know that is a huge load off of their shoulders.
Blessings.

February Here I Come

I did not take a picture today. Had a tummy ache for some reason. Its OK this evening. I worked with Rusty though belly hurting or not. She was rotten the first time this morning. I wanted to call her bad names but didn't. Only when she bit me. She got my coat, not actually me but it would have hurt. I smacked her nose and told her NO loud. Then this afternoon I caught her and we tried again. Much more successful.

We went to a Mounted Patrol Meeting this evening. I have avoided them but am getting talked into going. Oh well, as long as I don't have a bunch of meetings to go to or classes. Bob goes to stuff a lot. BUT, he is in the Search and Rescue and I do not want to do that. We will see.

Take care - Thankful Tuesday is coming.

And the winner is.................................

No need to wait until 10 because the number Bob gave me is far enough down. And drum roll please....................Phaedra 96. Please e mail me with your mailing address and I will get it off to you. Thank you all.

Sunday "S" Goodby January

"S"
SPURS
These are Bob's spurs that he bought when he was about 12. He bought them in a feed store. The brand is Hercules. They were appraised once for about 500.00. Bob does not wear them to ride anymore, they hang on the wall.
This is our last picture of the challenge. Thank you each one of you who entered into the challenge and had fun with it. If anyone else wants to head one up, let me know. My little box is empty of words. I would be happy to do one with someone else choosing the words. Thank you so much. It was fun wasn't it?
Also, you must comment on this blog by 10.00 Pacific Time February 1, which is tomorrow. I will have a number chosen by Bob, he is clueless what we have done so it will truly be unbiased. Then I will get the pretty little candle holder off to who ever wins.
I did not do anything with Rusty today. It was drizzley and windy. Bob did though. He caught her and went on a little walk and took her into the barn and into Peppers stall. He left her there about five minutes and then led her out. She was a little heads up today but with the wind I was not surprised. Tomorrow rain or shine she and I will do some things.
Have a good Monday.

FORWARD

FORWARD march.
Chemmy is off to somewhere marching forward.
I am doing this early today because we are going to a Mule Club dinner and auction this early evening and I don't know how late we will be. The last word in this challenge is anything that starts with an S.
And, to make a comment on this blog and to be in the drawing for the cardinal candle holder, you must comment tonight or tomorrow. I will pick a number Monday at noon. Good luck all. I will post it when I have the winner. There are about 50 entries and Bob will give me a number before he goes to work on Monday.
I worked with Rusty this morning for a little while. Today we went for a nice walk. All around the house, around the barn, through the barn an out by the road. I was so proud of her. I picked up both front feet. She has made such good progress this week. Bob has been working on making the pen a 6' high pen instead of 5 so if I do get a horse in Burns, the pen will be legal.
Sunday - hope yours is blessed.

Forward, Not foreword

Sharon and I collaberated tonight and I put an e in forward and spell check gave me foreword. I want FORWARD which is the opposite of backward. Not foreword which is the first part of a book. So FORWARD IS THE WORD FOR TOMORROW
