A good day

I did work with Sage today and we did great. I consistently can run my hand down her leg and I rubbed down her back to her tail and she just stood there. I only worked once, it was a busy day and kind of gave her a break. I tried to get her to eat some grain but so far its still in its dish in her feeder. I put her hay in over it and she tossed the hay out onto the ground. Oh well. She will get it one of these days.
Ditto got her feet trimmed today. She just stood there like always. She is my first horse love. I have had her since she was 2 and she is now 28.
Our 18 year old granddaughter Coreen. I am so worried about her weight. She is the daughter of our son Scott that died 6 years ago.

This and the next picture are of what broke off of the dun mares hind foot when Bob was working with her. He has not got his hands on her yet but she is giving to the rope OK. Time I guess. I was horrified how the foot had turned so far under. Look at that fold. I am horrified.

I If we could get close enough we would sedate her and trim them but that is not practical at this point. I don't want to rope her and choke her down. Just keep working I guess. A friends niece named her Emma. So that is what I am calling her.
We put Jack the calf out in a small pasture by himself. I hope he does ok over night out there. He comes when you rattle his bucket.
Coreen came for the day. It was so good to see her. Her move to Auburn did not last long. I have several reasons to be very worried about her.
Have a happy Fourth of July
Blessings
