LalalalalalalalalalaLa I am not listening

No new pictures tonight but these were cheery and I sort of need that this evening.
Today was my checkup visit with my cardiologist. I feel so good I thought he might just pat me on the head and say see you in six months.

Well that didn't happen. I have not gained an ounce and the only part of my recent blood work was my triglycerides were high but they always are no matter how good I eat or the exercise I get. BUT he told me he wanted me to lost 30 pounds and to not eat any type of bread or bread products and no potatoes or rice and to eat only yogurt and salads for the next month. I have been eating good and only having ice cream occasionally.

I will start getting more exercise when our weather improves. Anyway I am whining and admit it. I can not eat like that. So, I am kind of down in the dumps this evening. They drew blood to see if I am diabetic. I am not 3 weeks ago my blood sugar was 104. That sounds normal to be. Oh well. I will be 73 this week and I am doing the best I can. Dr. Fuhs, I am not listening.

Before I had to go to town and see my wretched doctor, I did play with Sage a little bit. I used Cowboy Magic on her mane and got the dreadlocks and wind knots all out. Most of her mane was fine but about 4" in the middle was a mess. Its all pretty now.

Rain Rain and Rain

It rained almost all day long, literally poured. Bob remembered the job he had started a year ago. Yes, A year ago and he worked on it some more today. I hope its not a year until he does more on it. But don't want it to rain like this either.

I made a rhubarb cobbler , got dinner took a long nap and that was my day.

It Got Here

My only picture today. On our way home from church. He had his big tail spread out strutting for the ladies but when we stopped the car he stopped.

The storm hit with a vengeance. Lots of hard rain. They had predicted thunder and hail but that didn't come. Just the wind and rain. Three days of spring. Hmmmmmmmm. Is that all we get? There is flooding all over the place. Not right here, only what doesn't sink in. I am glad we are not close to a river.

Had a great service today at church. Pastor spoke on our values and where our country appears to be. A missionary from Nicaragua spoke briefly with his wife interpreting. He was funny but got to his point.

Mostly this afternoon I balanced the checkbook (icky job) and sat and watched it rain. It is really depressing. So much I want to do outside.

Windy but Warm

We were supposed to have a storm today with thunder, lightening, lots of rain and a lot of wind. What we got was a very warm day, 79 degrees and the wind they predicted. It was very humid but I loved it. You can see the storm coming from the SW but its not here yet.
Sage having a good time eating grass and the dandelions. I did put her in tonight in case it all comes to pass in the night. They were also predicting hail. Sage just ate and ate. She did not much like the stuff flying around though.

The storm is coming.

I went to a couple of yard sales and got some things I can use. I love yard saleing. Didn't go into town where there would have been a lot of them.

All in all, a great day.

Blessings.

A good Friday

Part of our cow family after they came up for water. Lizzy and her baby Rita did not come up. Yesterday Bob went to see if Rita was OK and she was asleep in some tall grass. Bob reached down and touched her and she opened her eyes and went MAWWWW, loudly. Bob jumped back and Lizzy came on the run. It was really funny. Still one cow to have her calf. I hope it is soon. We need to get them to their summer pasture and to a bull who will join them on their pasture.

Maro having his supper and Bob trying to get a little milk in the bottle so he can get some medicine down Marco. It did not work. It had yesterday and this morning but he said no more. I want my new mama. So we got the turkey baster out and got it down him that way. That worked ever so much better. We have about 4 more doses so that is how we will do it.

A little bird. Not a very good picture but it was so sweet sitting there.

Worked with Rocky for a while. He is such an awesome pony. Then I got Sage out and let her mow part of the lawn and I reintroduced her to the trailer. She did not get in but looked and sniffed. Bob had hauled a horse home from the vet for a gal and Sage could smell something different.

The weather is supposed to turn really awful tomorrow. If we get the hail they are predicting, we will be putting some of the horses, particularly the ponies in the barn. Will be watching the weather.

Blessings.

Another new baby

Don't know if its he or she yet. This was her first time up. A cute little critter
About 7 hrs. later. Still don't know but mom is very protective.

Amelia eating her fill. She is getting her weight back and is all shed out pretty.

Wrangler looks kind of pathetic. He is shedding out OK but that tail is awful.

Abby is my least favorite horse. She knocked me over tonight running by me to get back out in the pasture while I was shutting the gate. I went and got a lounge whip and went after her. She ran fast back out the gate but I am really mad at her.

Raven munching away.

We finished Sages front feet and are working on picking up the hind ones. They are in terrible condition and its important for us to get them done. She took a pretty good pop at Bob but missed him. She got a pretty good pop on her hip by him too. Then we went right back at it. We did finally get one picked up but that was all of the lesson today.

We both spent time with Emma too. She just is not happy when I give her a direction. She looked pretty aggressively at me. Bob went in and she was fine. We will keep working on that.

It was 70 today and that is the first time this year. I really enjoyed it. We worked at cleaning up the yard some and layed around some.

Great Day

No pictures. Can't take them and do what I need to do. I worked with both ponies today and saddled Sage again. Flapped the stirrups against her. She does not get upset about any of that. Then she spooks at stupid things like a piece of string the wind catches. I know she will get over it though.

We trimmed more on her front feet today. Got them down where they should be. Now to tackle her hind feet. I got one foot picked up today. One of these days I will be one her.

Tomorrow we have to work on Stella's feet. They look good but both front feet at cracked and she has knocked a chunk out of one rear foot. Bob may have to get some of the stuff they use to seal up cracks with until they can grow out.

It was a lovely day here - almost 70 degrees. Loved it. I did go and get my hair trimmed up a little shorter but am not crazy about it. Its the length I wanted but not really the shape. I hate it when there is someone I like and then they leave. Oh well, such is life.
