A hot Sunday - three days of pictures

This is Justina Marabella. She is almost 3. She joined their family when she was just barely 2. She is a girly girl really attached to her mom and dad.
And this is Maria Marabella. She is almost 4 and she joined their family just about a year before Justina. She is a tomboy and her daddy is her idol. They are sweet little girls.

The shower for Katie was last Saturday the 16Th. It was fun. Most of the people who were invited came and she received a lot of nice things. I was very glad to be able to do it for her.

It was a bright shiny day. It got a little warm but was OK. The only disaster was the butter for the scones melted and ran over onto the table cloth.

Today Bob and I went on a trail ride down at Heyburn State Park. It was hot but a great ride. We had a large turnout. Our Mustang Club had the ride but several from the Panhandle Back Country Horsemen came and joined us. It was really fun

This is Andrea. Not a real clear picture but was taken back over my head.

Lake Couer D'Alene from the spot where we had lunch. It may be called Indian Point - Its Indian something. It was a beautiful place to take a rest.

The log made a good rest area until we discovered big black ants. I left. What a great place to rest though and there was a little breeze and the clouds hid the sun for a bit.

It was a fun day. We stopped and got ice cream cones on our way home. My knees are suffering. Don't know why but that is what always hurts on me.

I took a nap when we got the horses put away ect. and slept about an hour I think and got woken up with a big clap of thunder. Didn't appreciate that too much. One lightening strike was quite close and then it poured down rain for about 5 minutes and then the sun was shining again.

I pray your weekend was as blessed as ours was.

Blessings.

Cooler Day

These pictures were all taken withing the last couple of weeks but not put here. I didn't take any today so thought what the heck, I will sort through and get some.

Nikki and I have the same problem, we are short legged and need something to stand on to get on our horse. Pepper is pretty good about standing. So is Raven. I will have to teach that to Sage.

The two hooligans with a plot.

Tom on Lanes birthday.

If we get everything done before Saturday morning, I will be surprised. Bob finished painting the kitchen this evening.

Didn't do anything with horses today, it rained all night and a good part of the day. It smelled good when it quit. I need to get out and weed my garden now though.

Rusty in the spotlight tonight

Is this not a beautiful mane? We used Cowboy Magic on it and got all the wind knots out. Lost alot brushing but it is still beautiful. I think Amelia's is a runner up but this is the prettiest mane on our place. Bob has been working with her again.

This is a metal sign Nikki brought me. I love it, just love it. We put it up in the barn today. Thank you again Nikki. It was very thoughtful of you.

This is one I got Bob when I was off somewhere.

I did not actually put Sage in the round pen today but I groomed her all over and brushed her pretty tail all out, braided it and put it in a tail bag. She did not mind. I don't think I mentioned yesterday that Bob trimmed her front feet last night after we took the saddle off. For the most part she just stood there. Good girl. I almost can handle her hind feet now. She is coming along.

The pump guy did not get here today. I want a shower and have laundry to do. Dang. They know they have us over a barrel.

Blessings.

Am popping my buttons, I am so proud

Manny flopping around. Sage was completely unaffected. He is a terrible rider.
Bob tied his feet and arms on so he could not fall off but could flop around. He slid way over to one side and she looked at him out of the corner of her eye but that's all she did. He really is a sloppy rider. I want to be on her so bad.

Abby, Raven Liberty and Wrangler ambling down the lane out to their pasture for the evening.

This was larger on my computer. Our friend Bernie sent it to Bob. Its where Bob and them camped the last time Bob went into the Bob Marshall.

Other than working with Sage, I did house stuff mostly. Our well went whacko today so I could not do laundry nor take a shower. Bob hooked a hose up to the guys water next door so we could water the animals but otherwise. We are waterless until the well man comes tomorrow. This is the third year in a row that we have had trouble with the well. Grrrrrr.

Hope your Monday was good

Our boys are gone, I am sad

Yesterday Nikki, Bob and I went for about a 3 1/2 hr. ride. We had such a good time. This picture was taken over my shoulder just before he tossed a pine cone at my back and missed and hit Raven on the rear. Had just a little rodeo. He thought it was funny, I didn't.
Nikki riding Pepper. She was behind on Pepper which is where he usually is. Oh but we had fun. We saw deer, hikers and other horse back riders. We laughed and talked.

Nikki's little dog Scout. She is so attached to Nikki. We had gotten home and had showers and sat down and Scout has such a look of satisfaction of "Mom's home" on her little face.

Today Nikki and Isaac went on a ride across the road in the big field. Isaac thought he was quite the cowboy.

Lane finding bugs. That is his entire life.

Nikki and Isaac off on their ride.

Lane

Mom and her baby boy home from their ride.

Chemmy looking for "his friend".

Isaac riding Chemmy. He has such a good time with the donks. Isaac fell off and landed on his bottom. He laughed about it and was not hurt at all.

Lane taking his turn. He is just not a riding person but he could not be outdone. He did a really good job.

Bob taking his turn. Good ole Chemmy didn't mind at all.

Happy birthday Uncle Lyle. He turned 95 today. Hope he had a wonderful, blessed day.

We will miss our little boys. I am going to try to find a pair of size 3 western riding boots for Isaac. And then a pair of kids spurs. I don't care if they are used boots.

I hope your weekend was as good as ours. I miss Nikki so much and its always good to have them come, even if its for such a short time.

Hot and Windy Day

Yesterday Isaac rode Rosie all over. I was a bad Grandma. I kept him covered with sunscreen but forgot his legs. They got quite red.

Isaac and Sheya, my little horse lovers, riding in the arena. Its not too much of an arena this year but gives them a confined, sort of, area to ride. They wanted to go down the road. I don't think so. Maybe at some point but not yet. When I was their age I rode my horse all over the neighborhood. A different age though.

Doing circles around the barrels.

I needed to tell him to drop his heels and he will have to graduate to the next up saddle. I am glad we have two smaller saddles.

Isaac riding this morning. It was very hot and he didn't ride as long as yesterday.

Somehow a duplicate

Poppy's in the front yard.

Miss Sheya and Pepper

I don't remember what these are but they came back this year. So cheerful.

My sweet boy and my sweet pony.

Pistol going for a swim but they can't get out on their own. It had to feel good. It was over 90 yesterday.

The boys parents will be here tomorrow and they are going home Sunday. I will miss them terribly and so will Rosie and Chemmy.
