Blah

A nothing day. Nothing to post. I did get the insurance for Mustang Days. Now we are all set to go. We can get down to business now. I am looking forward to the meeting at the end of the month.

Tracey said she had heard maybe the horses won't be here this weekend and I am about to blow a gasket. If not I will get to go on the Mustang Club ride, but I would rather greet my horse.

Till tomorrow

Snowy

What a day after a beautiful day. It snowed and snowed but nothing stuck on the ground for more than a few minutes. Our little robin friends were waiting for the storm to pass in the walnut tree.

The silly horses have a shelter to get under but they chose to stand out there and look pathetic. That is Rusty and Cody. I took them from in the house. I didn't want to go out in that snow storm.

Other than that the day was just same o same o. 5 days and Sage will be here.

It's what you learn after you know it all that's important.

Kids, grandkids and bubbles

This is a bunch of pictures. If its too many I won't be insulted if you don't look at them all. The first one is two of our granddaughters. They found the prized gold and silver eggs. Sheya is 8 and Jadeyn is 12.
This is our daughter Christyn's family. She is in the back left. She is a beautiful young woman. Next to her is her partner Wendy and then Skylar who will be 14 next weekend. He is a big boy. Then Jadeyn and the front row is Lenna on the left who is a friend of Nikki's and then Nikki on the right. They all seemed to have a great time.

Our son Tom and his family. Christy beside him Sheya, Seth who is 10 and Ryan who is 13. Good kids.

Us, Skeeter and Tom Chrissy and Steven. We had such a great day with them. I did the ham and potato salad and they did the rest. It was GOOD. I am still full.

The kids all got bubble things and Chrissy and I had fun with them. With the wind it made great bubbles.

Somehow that got the same picture.

We had so much fun and decided maybe we should have gotten the bubbles. We had more fun than the kids did.

Sheya and Jade on the trampoline. Had to recharge my cameras battery so I missed all the kids jumping on it. The best 50.00 we have ever spent.

Chrissy and Wendy brought me roses. They are beautiful and so sweet of them.

Bob and I right after church. Katie took our picture. It was such a good service and the church was packed almost as full as the fire dept. would have it. I think actually it was 3 over but no one said anything.

Bob just before we left for church. The love of my life.

And, me.

This is what I saw just as we were getting ready to go to church. I have never seen Skeeter use Maggie for a mattress before. Maggie didn't seem to mind.
So that was our day. Loved every minute of it.

Twas the night before Easater.

No picture today. Will have some tomorrow though for positive. There was a pretty sunset but by the time I found where I had put my camera it had changed. I should have put it where I usually do where I can grab it quickly.

The potato salad is put together, the floors all wiped up and the dishes done. The baskets are filled and in a large basket. My clothes are layed out for church. So what is left - ? I am sure I will think of something about the time I am drifting off to sleep. Oh yes, my toe nails are painted. That's an important chore when you are wearing open toed shoes tomorrow.

We had a big scare last night. I about had a coronary running down the road about 11 last night. I was just dozing off and Bob was asleep on the couch. The phone rang and a neighbor said our horses were running down the road. We hit the front door running. I had to come back and get a flashlight. By that time Bob was in the SUV that has 4 wheel drive and started down the road. We found them in the 50 acre field across the road. They were running and bucking and having fun. There is a fair amount of traffic on our road and I tried to slow cars down by waving the flashlight but no one even slowed down a bit. After Bob got them headed in the right direction he got out of the car and we started walking them towards home. I prayed like mad that there would be no cars come. There wasn't. The got out on the road and went down the middle of the road of course to our driveway and went to their pasture. Our 50 mph winds had blown a portion of their fence over. I was so relieved. It was so very cold and the wind was blowing hard and even though stars were out, the moon was behind clouds so it was very dark. Whew. I came in and went to bed and slept like a rock, Bob was up and down all night with a stress induced stomach upset.

So that is my drama for today even though it happened last night.

I finally got the head guy at Busy Bee Stables and got our Mustang Days all taken care of. He was so willing to work with us. Larry has a little ego but that's OK. He will help us even set up the trail course. He said we had 600 acres to work with. We won't need that much and it made me chuckle. It is the last weekend in June. I am sure I will be posting more and more about it. I do need to get insurance yet. I will do that on Monday.

Remember why we celebrate Easter. It is not the bunnies and the candy and the colored eggs. It is the day Christ rose from the grave after dieing on the cross for our sins.

Till tomorrow.

Winter has returned

This is what I saw out of the window by my computer. The little robin had just taken a bath in the mud puddle you see. When I went out to do the chores this evening there were many many robins in the yard. They were hopping around on the ground and in the apple tree. I don't know why they were congregating here.
Today we had a blizzard, a rain storm and much wind. I am so tired of this. I want to ride
and can not do it in this weather. Oh well.

I finished the Easter baskets I made for the girls, grown up and little and some for the grandsons. I made them out of paper bags. I didn't think they would want lace, beads and ribbon. Bob agreed with me.

I cleaned all the hardwood floors today and folded laundry and cooked the potatoes for the potato salad. I will cook the eggs tomorrow so I can get that all put together except for the dressing tomorrow. When I was at Walmart yesterday I bought so lightweight plastic dishes all bright Eastery colors. I hate paper plates. These were very inexpensive and when they break we can toss them. Got a platter which I didn't really need but for 1.00 it was a pretty green and a bowl which was also a pretty spring color. The dishes were 4 for a buck so you see if they break away they go.

Lots to do tomorrow.
