Two plus three equal 5

Sheya riding the bucking donkey. She held on and he bucked. Then he stopped and she slid off. I told her she is my cowgirl.
She just hopped up on him. He was trying to eat supper though. That is why he got a little upset with her.

Ryan and Grandpa working and Sheya was telling them about her exciting ride.

Our swallows in the barn. There are several nests. They really keep the bugs down.

Isaac, Sheya and Seth bringing Liberty in. She prefers to stay out.

Wrangler just came right up to me when he came in. I think he thought I had a treat. I didn't.

Bob went to get Lane and Isaac and ended up with Ryan, Seth and Sheya also. They are going to sleep out on the lawn tonight in back. Good kids all of them.

Hppy Birthday Americaq

This is what Bob did today. He mowed hay. Each run was half a mile long so over and back was a mile. He is doing that in exchange for hay. I spent the day visiting with his wife. It was a great day. Not too hot but bright and shiny.

When Hazel was a day old I posted pictures of her. She is very friendly now and I was trying to get a picture of her. She wanted to taste my camera.

Such sweet little ears.

And one of the dozens of deer we saw on the way home. There were fireworks going off all over and they were really spooky.

We had a typical Fourth of July dinner - hamburgers, potato salad and baked beans. And watermelon. It was a fun day. The boys are still at Tom's. They will be home tomorrow.

Blessings, and God Bless America

Quiet

Doesn't Lane look like he is excited about going to church. Oh well, he went and he sat quietly. He knew some of the songs but didn't sing. Isaac did. Lane sang when we got back into the car.
We took Lane and Isaac over to their Uncle Tom's to play with his cousins for a day or so. It certainly made the house quiet. And, I fed Isaac's donkeys for him.

A quiet Sunday at least for me. I took a nap and Bob went after a load of hay. There is a little wind blowing but it was warm. Hope your day was warm and wonderful.

Sages First Bath

Because it was 80 today I thought it was a good opportunity to introduce Sage to the hose and water. She freaked out a little at the beginning but did well until the water hit the barn and she really wigged out then so wed did it over and over until she quit. Did not soap her up, just water this time and then she stood there until she was dry so she wouldn't go out in her pen and roll in the dirt. Have never seen her roll but I am reasonable certain that if she had been wet, I would have witnessed it.

Lane helping with pouring the sand mixture onto where we are making a new patio. He worked really hard for a warm day.

Isaac putting the horses off the grass. He did it by himself. Liberty was not as anxious to comply as the others but her persisted. It was hot today but not overbearing. It just felt good.

Blessings.

Happy Birthday Isaac

I watched this butterfly on the flower while I was watering. Ran in and grabbed my camera. It was so pretty, especially on the bright pink flowers.

I bought and hung the banner up for Isaac, he liked it.

Mom, he ate the entire piece except the edge of the crust. I believe its the first time in his life he asked for pizza. Tom's family came out and all together ate 3 big pizza's. We all enjoyed the nice evening out on the back lawn.

His monkey beach towel.

His cake.

And he ate most of it. He was wound up like an 8 day clock by this time.

Tom and his family just left and got boys cleaned up and in pj's and they are watching TV with Grandpa. A long fun afternoon. Hope we made a good memory.

A monkey in the tree

There is a monkey in my tree and he turns 7 tomorrow.
Look at that wrinkled up nose. He made faces at me for several minutes after he got wormed today. Funny Chemmy. Yuma didn't want it and it took both Katie and I to catch him and get it done. That wrinkled nose cracked me up.

Our Mustang and Burro Club met this evening. We had a nice turnout minus a couple of people. We are contemplating next years Mustang Days and trying something different. MAYBE. We are going for a ride down at Heyburn State Park in Idaho on July 17. Anyone want to join us? It will be fun. And our next meeting will be a BBQ, potluck at our house. The more the merrier.

We are planning a party for our monkey that turns 7 tomorrow. He does not know cousins are coming and I won't tell him until later in the day. He wants pizza and I remember calling his mother when we were in Oregon last September and he was having a real hissy because he didn't want pizza, he didn't like pizza and was not going to eat it. Now its what he wants for his birthday dinner. What do I know, I am just the Grandma.

Busy time with boys and getting ready for Katie's shower in 2 short weeks. And we have another wedding on August 5th. to go to. Its a busy summer.

Good Times With Boys

Rocky did not think so much of Manny. He wigged out bad and stepped on my ankle. I am glad he is as small as he is. He stood there with Manny flopped over his back for about an hour.

Isaac hanging out with Rocky. He is my cowboy

Lane enjoyed the riding lawn mower more. He did a good job though.

Sage thought blue barrels were going to get her.

She ran around being silly. When I came out of the pen she went up and smelled it.

I mowed part of the lawn and got my first sunburn of the summer. Not bad, just a little pink and it will be brown tomorrow. I don't burn much.
