Mary Did You Know?

Mary, did you know
That your baby boy
Would someday walk on water?
Mary did you know that your baby boy Will save our sons and daughters?
Did you know That your baby boy
Has come to make you new?
This child will soon deliver you.

Mary did you know that your baby boy
Will give sight to a blind man?
Mary did you know that your baby boy
Will calm the storm with his hand?
Did you know that your baby boy
Has walked where angels trod?
When you kiss your little baby
You've kissed the face of God.
The blind will see the deaf will hear
The lame will leap the dumb will speak
The praises of the Lamb.

Mary did you know that your baby boy
Is Lord of all creation?
Mary did you know that your baby boy
Will one day rule the nations?
Did you know that your baby boy
Is heavens perfect Lamb?
This sleeping child you're holding
Is the Great I Am.

That is one of my very favorite Christmas songs.

Today was my quilting day.  We, what they called Throwing the Quilt, put the squares in order.  I had them what I thought was good but now its wonderful and each row is in a plastic bag numbered 1 to 10 and the order that they will be in the rows.  Now to put them all together.  I am anxious to get it going good.

Back to watching the NFR tonight.  I really would love to be there especially for Saturday night's championship.  Instead I will be at another Christmas party.  Its a potluck.  I made a Apple Spice cake and used instead of raisins, dried cranberries reconstituted in orange juice.  I frosted it with an old Penuche Fudge icing.  Actually I doubled the recipe and we have one too.  Bob cut the one I made for us and it passed his inspection.

I am kind of worrying about getting things ready for the Mustang Club Christmas get together here tomorrow night.  I have not got the kitchen cleaned good.  I have Justin tomorrow and then I will hit there.  I guess they aren't coming to inspect my house any way.

Blessings

  1. I wish I could be there for the party! I hope you all have a great time. (And I know I would never be bothered by a little mess. I don't think they will either.)

  2. I love that song too; such beautiful words. Can you even imagine how Mary must have felt tending to and loving on her baby boy...and trying to wrap your mind around the amazing and almost unbelievable fact that this babe in your arms is your God, your Creator, and the Savior of the whole world? I just can't even imagine how that must have felt? Just incredible, but just too much for our minds to really comprehend. So beautiful! :) Thank you for sharing those beautiful words Lea!
I had to chuckle over your kitchen woes!! We all fuss and worry about super cleaning our homes when friends, family or whomever come over...but nobody ever notices!! They're just there to enjoy!! Everything will be wonderful...don't you fret!!
Merry Christmas Lea!! Blessings from our Father to you and yours. :)
