Today is my sister Sharon's birthday. Love her so much. She and I are only siblings. Here she and her husband in New York last year. He had surgery today, something to do with the cancer he has. According to texts from her and their daughter Suzy he came through it fine.
Sharon at the cemetery in Myers, Kentucky. It was settled and named for our relatives. Our maiden name was Myers. I wanted one of the headstones (not that big one) but we could not even lift a small one. It is not maintained or taken care of at all. Myers is in the heart of back woods Kentucky.

Thank you for your comment on my blog Lea. And, I always enjoy honest emotions over "always happy". Please feel free to always express what you're feeling or thinking to me...that's what friends are for afterall. :) Life isn't always the sticky sweet that some people portray it to be. I like it "real". Glad I'm not the only one to be a queenie of great expectations...sigh, it can be rough, I know. And, the disappointments seem to run the deepest where family members are involved. I totally understand, that's the root issue with my sis and her family...I hate their lifestyles and their lack of morals, honesty, all they seem to care about is their looks and material stuff. Ack!!! That is just not what I'm about! They probably think I'm crazy too, oh well...we pick our friends, not our family! I love my family, just can't be around them much. Sorry you didn't have that perfect, memorable Christmas Lea. This was the first nice Christmas I can remember since long before my mom died. She's been gone 6 years now, and dad's been gone 16 years. Life just isn't the same without them around...they were our glue in our family's lives. Hope 2012 is a good one. Blessings. :)
