Grandkids before the wedding

Our beautiful "granddaughter" Katie who will walk down the aisle and marry the love of her life next Saturday.

She and Cameron. They are so sweet together.

Katie was tickling Ravens lip and that is what she did.

I made them an afgan to fit their queen sized bed in blues and whites. I wanted to give it to them personally rather than taking it to the wedding. I should have taken their picture with it. Never thought of that. Darn.

Have fought a headache today so was a little nervous about getting on Sage. So Bob made me put it off until tomorrow.

A wonderful day with friends

This afternoon our dear friends Greg and Lisa came out to bbq and their kids rode Pepper. This is Mariah. Her second time on a horse.

Kierstan and I don't know if she has ridden before and..........

Josh who had not ridden before. Kiersten is Josh's girl friend. The kids all seemed to have fun even with us "old folks".

It was a wonderful time with really special people. We are blessed to know them.

A Cowboy Wedding

The bride was beautiful with her very long blond hair, beautiful dress and bright pink western boots on her feet.The groom and his guys wore brand new Wranglers and pretty brown western shirts with white hats. Her girls wore peachy pink dresses and brown boots. The wedding ceremony was nice but no mention of God and not one single prayer. Found that a little different. All outside, a beautiful setting and a delicious dinner. Blessings to Justin and Kalynn.

Did not get to ride Sage today. I must do it tomorrow though. Having company in the afternoon. We have steaks thawing to bbq. Greg and Lisa are some of our favorite people.

So other than cleaning (sort of) the house and doing that kind of stuff, that was our day.

A better day

She wasn't as relaxed today when I got on. I want to take her into the round pen but not until she stays relaxed. She has had 3 days off so maybe that was part of it. That and it was bloody hot.

My first job this morning. I put these in the freezer instead of eating them all.

Our neighbor can't seem to cut a break. His brother came to stay with him and help him but he over dosed on Wayman's pain medicine. Wayman called Bob frantic because he had quit breathing. He called and ambulance and Bob dashed down there. I went over to see what I could do which was nothing. The ambulance crew got him awake and conscience and took him to the hospital. W. is kicking himself for leaving it out. Bob is over there with him. Maybe will spend the night I don't know. He is so frail and thin. Keep them both in your prayers.

A quickie trip to Portland

Mt. Hood from Portland last night on our way to Gresham to our motel. It was so beautiful.

An icky picture of me but I was just loving on my precious uncle. He was 95 three weeks ago and every time I leave I wonder if he will be with us the next time. He is pretty frail but has his same ol sense of humor. He was kind of stumbling when he got up from his chair and I took his arm and held on, I was so afraid he would fall. He grinned at me and told me the floor was uneven. I love him so much.

A stern wheeler going down the Columbia River. Had never seen one on that river before. I imagine it was a cruise of some kind.

We got home a little after 3 and its hot here. It as almost 90. I am not complaining though. It was cold and rainy so long.

Bob leaves and 5 in the morning to drive to the Veterans Hospital in Seattle and get our neighbor who has been there for treatment of cancer in his mouth since April. It will be a long day but that's OK. The gentleman is anxious to get home. I am going over in the morning and air out his house and wipe up the dust and vacuum the rug ect.

Tomorrow its back to Sage. Bob has told me not to get on her here alone so I guess I won't but there are plenty of other things to do for sure. For one thing, I am going to set the sprinkler in her large pen. It really spooks her so we will work on that for one thing. If Shannon comes down I will get on her. She said she might in the afternoon.

I did it I did it I did it. I got on Sage. I got so excited doing it I forgot my helmet. I won't next time. It was so COOL sitting my first time in that saddle.

Bob didn't care about a picture of the horse but wanted my face. Oh I was excited. Not a care in the world for her. Oh you are on me now.

We had a little rodeo trying to spray Sage after her lesson. She let me day before yesterday but not today. I finally got it done but wasted a lot of spray in the meantime. I need to take a spray bottle of water and practice.

Bob's work with Rusty was awesome too. He got her front feet trimmed and will do her hind another day. His back won't tolerate more than 2 feet at a time.
